At GVEC, we are wrapping up 2024 and bringing an overall successful year to a close. We’re also looking forward to the beginning of the new year and gearing up for the last year of our five-year strategic plan that started in 2021. This time of year is a time of reflection and anticipation—thinking about the progress we’ve made and focusing on finishing strong for you, our members. Together, we’ve worked hard to move forward with confidence, staying true to our role as a cooperative that empowers one another as a community.

Over the past few years, we’ve faced many challenges, but with careful planning, financial stability and the dedication of our team, we’ve continued to grow and adapt. The energy industry has been changing rapidly, and we’ve kept pace by offering more options for renewable energy, energy storage, and other tools to help you manage your energy use. Our goal has always been to provide services that make your life easier. Programs like on-bill financing and rebates, smart thermostats, ac/heating, energy storage and other efficiency programs are designed to do just that.

We’ve also made big strides in improving how we connect with you. We’ve expanded our high-speed internet service and introduced new technology that helps us respond to outages faster and keep your service reliable. Our commitment to investing in these improvements means we can continue to offer you more value, better service and new ways to save.

As we wrap up this five-year plan, I want to emphasize how proud I am of what we’ve built. But it’s not the end—there’s still more work ahead, and we’ll continue to push forward with the same determination and discernment that got us where we are today. GVEC is here to serve you, and we look forward to continuing to grow, innovate and empower the communities we serve. May you have a safe and joyful holiday season and a happy new year.
