Let’s get started!
Newly Installed & Existing Renewable Systems
If you are a homeowner who has installed a brand new renewable system, taken ownership at a location that has existing renewal power or a renewable contractor submitting on behalf of a GVEC member, follow these instructions:
- Download, complete and sign the Interconnection Agreement.
- Complete and upload to the form below.
GVEC Qualifying Renewable Generating Application GVEC Qualifying Renewable Generating Application
Newly Installed Systems: After your application is received and reviewed by a GVEC engineer, a service order to install a monitoring meter at the location will be created. This meter, as well as a rate change to a “renewable rate” will allow the member to take advantage of selling back any electricity overproduction to GVEC.
Taking Over Existing Systems: The account will automatically revert to a non-renewable rate (which does not allow the member to sell excess electricity to GVEC) until a new Interconnection Agreement is submitted by the new owner.
Please allow 1 billing cycle for the meter change and renewable rate to take effect.
