With a focus on Delivering More to GVEC consumers, we take feedback we receive from our customers seriously. Through surveys we’ve conducted, many Fiber and potential Fiber subscribers voiced a desire for more options when it came to the plans we offer.
Up until this point, residential Fiber customers only had two speed plans to choose from: 100 megabits per second (Mbps) or 1 gigabit per second (Gbps). We’re glad to announce that GVEC Fiber now offers three plans: 250 Mbps, 500 Mbps or 1 Gbps.
That means existing GVEC Fiber customers on the 100 Mbps plan received an upgrade to 250 Mbps—at no extra cost.
250 Mbps
Upgrading the 100 Mbps plan to 250 Mbps gives new and existing Fiber customers more than double the speed for the same price as before. This speed will make an already-great connection even better with the bandwidth to support multiple users browsing, working, learning, streaming and gaming faster than before.
500 Mbps
Offering an additional plan provides a choice for those who believe a faster connection would better suit their needs. This option provides a choice for our customers who don’t want to pay for more than they need.
1 Gbps
Our top-tiered plan remains at 1 Gbps, offering the maximum bandwidth available from GVEC Fiber.
Why the Change?
As GVEC has evolved and grown to offering Internet and Beyond the Meter services like solar and battery storage, AC/heating, and electrician services to members and nonmembers alike, we remain rooted in our cooperative values. This means listening to our customers and improving our offerings to continue empowering those we serve in the Guadalupe Valley.
Regarding GVEC Internet, this is evident in not only our expansion of Fiber service throughout our service territory, but also in our commitment to continue addressing demand for high-quality internet services in areas where only our Wireless connection is available as well.
The bottom line is, just as we always have, we’ll continue putting people ahead of profit, no matter how we grow and evolve.
